This country-style lodge might be the cheapest in Tikal, but its prices are not justified by the basic standards. With a quaint tranquil setting among the forest, it is still a comfortable place to get a good night’s sleep after exploring the temples. You can also camp for $8.70 per person, with picnic tables and clean bathrooms available in the inn. Duplex bungalows with hammocks on the porch are modern and cozy. Electricity ends at 9p.m., after which only lights and fans can be used. Internet is available at a hefty price of $5 an hour. It is located just five minutes from the park’s entrance. Be sure to reserve in advance during the Christmas season.
