This 15 meter-high waterfall is not the highest in the country, but its natural beauty makes it worth a visit. Cascading gently from a cave into a pool of emerald water, this retreat is wonderful for swimming and a picnic. If you're up for a hike off the beaten path, this place fits the bill.
To get there on your own, catch a microbus towards Chisec and ask to stop at Tienda y Comedor Reina. From there, it is a forty-minute walk. You can hire a guide here, which is highly recommended, as it is easy to get lost in the maze. Adrenaline Tours arranges half-day trips to the waterfall, leaving at 9.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.. The tour costs $30 per person, including transport, guide and entrance fees.
