Los Arcos - Ruin San Jerónimo - Guatemala

Just a few minutes walk from the town center you will find a series of 124 arches, once a Roman-style aqueduct system that powered the old sugar mill of San Jéronimo. Since the arches are hundreds of years old, today they lie in varying states of decay. To find them, follow the main road east (away from Salamá). Wander right and slightly downhilluntil you reach a sign reading “Barrio El Calvario.” Look closely to the right and there they are. There is also another set or arches if you turn right at the second dirt alley on this road.
