This tour will visit the Historic Center, where you can admire a series of buildings dating back to 1843; such as: city hall, the building of the Interior, the Theatre, the Cathedral, the Building the Future, the Market and Calvary Church. Each building has its own history, which we will learn as we visit each.The tour ends at the Museum Café where we will enjoy one of the world's richest coffees, Café Graft..

HUEHUE - THE MAMMOTH, ZACULEU RUINS

During the tour we will visit Chivacave, a farm where the best cheese in Huehuetenango is prepared. One of the most curious things is that there have been prehistoric animal fossils dating back millions of years, found here. Some of these remains are in the museum, where you can admire Mastodon bones and molars, and several bones of Glyptodonts, as well as, other prehistoric animals. After Chivacave, we head to the capital of the Mames: Zaculeu. Zaculeu was a religious and administrative center for the elite of that time, built in a strategic location that served as a natural defense to protect tits citizens from enemies. In Zaculeu, we will learn about one of the largest Maya cities of the region, visit temples and explore a museum.

HUEHUE - CHIANTLA - EL MIRADOR

On this tour, we head to the town of Chiantla, a city founded in 1540 when the Dominicans began to assemble the country's population into villages. Opposite the central park is the sanctuary of the Virgin of Candelaria, or Our Lady of Silver. Many have made the pilgrimage to Chiantla due to the many miracles attributed to her, as well as to admire her colonial dress of silver. After visiting the city, we go to the top of the Cuchumatanes, with a height of 3,000 meters, where we experience one of the most stunning views in Guatemala. From this viewpoint, you can appreciate some of the volcanoes and the valley of Huehuetenango.

HUEHUE – AGUACATÀN

On this tour we head to Aguacatán, possibly one of the most important municipals of Huehuetenango. The abundance of water sources and good land has allowed this city to make the valley a vegetable garden, among the most famous are garlic and onion. On this tour we will visit the market, central park, and the mouths of the San Juan and Rio Blanco rivers. We will also have opportunities to admire the typical attire of the beautifully dressed women and cross garlic and onion plantations to meet with people native to the area.

This is a journey where we will encounter culture, religion and archaeology. Visit Todos Santos, a town full of culture. Located in the mountains of the Cuchumatanes, you can see men and women with their colorful typical dress. Then continue on to Chiantla to visit the Catholic church, where you can see the Virgin of Silver that is revered by people in the region and said to have done many miracles. Our last destination will be the ruins of Zaculeu, a capital and fortress of the Mames that lived in this city during the Late Postclassic period, 1250-1520; here we will encounter sacred temples.

HUEHUETENANGO, SAN JUAN ATITA, THE MAMMOTH PALEONTOLOGICAL SITE

This is a journey where you will find culture and paleontology. San Juan Atitan is one of the most traditional villages in the region, where the men wear their typical dress with pride. Here they also have one of the most beautiful and colorful markets. You can see a number of women weaving the fabric of the region. The mammoth paleontological site is located in the village Chivacave, where you will see a grave containing the remains of prehistoric animals and a small museum providing information about the site.

HUEHUE - CHIABAL - STONE CUACHE

With this tour, we head for the mountains of Cuchumatanes, where we will visit Chiabal. It is a Mayan Man village, small and authentic and sitting at a height of 3,300 meters (10,800 feet). During the tour you will observe a variety of cultural aspects, people dressed in very bright colors, many of them herding sheep; it is, in short, a unique experience. In the same village, there is a trail that will take us to the stone lookout point, from where one has a breathtaking view across the valley and some volcanoes. This path also exhibits flowers, vegetation, and animals of the region.

HUEHUE - MAGDALENA LAGUNA

On this tour we head for the mountains of the Cuchumatanes. After making a stop in the Mirador, we continue to Lake Magdalena, located at an altitude of 2,850 meters. The lake's dark blue center contrasts with the turquoise green shores, forming spectacular colors. You can see plenty of birds and trees native to Guatemala. This journey takes two hours by car and half an hour of walking to get to. We will enjoy the beautiful trail along the banks of a river where the scenery is breathtaking.
