Quetzaltrekkers is a trekking company that employs volunteer guides and supports La Escuela de La Calle, a school for street children. To volunteer as a guide you must make a minimum three-month commitment, and have trekking experience and first aid certification. A three-month commitment is also required to volunteer in the EDELAC school as an English or computer teacher, social worker, or health care worker.
