Copan Ruins Tour

Location:
Copan Ruinas, Honduras

Adventure Tour Info., Ruin

By Will Gray

This is the reason for coming here, so it is best to do it properly. Entry to the site is pricey but it is worth splashing out even more for a guide, especially if you can get a group together to make it cheaper, as you learn so much more. Tours take around two hours but give yourself probably double that to enjoy the ruins at leisure plus additional time to watch the resident scarlet macaws flying around and take a look at the small information section on the excavations. If you are here at closing time, there are also good deals to be had on carvings from the sellers outside the gate.

For more information, see our Ruins of Copan page or our V!VA list entry.
