As tourism has expanded over the past few years, the number of tour companies in Copan has ballooned. Although the vast bulk of these offer the same services, prices vary widely. A budget traveler would be wise to shop around before making any purchases. Tour prices are often negotiable, especially if you're with a large group and the package your interested in is offered all over town. Generally speaking, the tour operators found in hotels and hostels offer the widest variety and best information, but you'll have more luck negotiating with the smaller, independent outfits.
