Being a crossroads town, La Entrada has a reputation as a hub of narco-trafficking. While this doesn't necessarily mean there will be more petty crime, and tourists are generally kept separate from the violence, walking by yourself at night in this area is a definite no-no. Best advice for keeping safe is to just find a hotel room and hunker down for the night – you're not missing much outside.
