As Honduras' capital, Tegucigalpa has no shortage of museums, cathedrals, and attractions to keep a visitor busy for a few days. Nearly all of these are clustered in Barrio Centro, within around 15 minutes walk of Plaza Morazan, making this area an obvious choice for accommodations. If you've only got a day or two, probably the best thing to do is just wander through this neighborhood – you can cover nearly all the city's best churches and parks in a day's walking.
We also recommend devoting at least a half-day to the Museo Para La Identidad Nacional, probably Honduras' coolest museum.
