This is a good spot for a half day trip to the beach and a snorkelling site. The road heads out of the main part of town for about five-to-ten minutes to a small sandy beach, which can become busy on windy days when dive boats are stuck in the harbour. There are a couple of bars to get drinks and a nice shallow warm area in which to swim. About ten minutes further on, through much building work (Utila is growing!) you will find a resort from where, for a fee, you can snorkel out to some good coral reef.

Right from main dock when facing the water, walk until the road ends.
