The party really doesn't ever stop on Utila. Peak season in February and August coincides with the dry season and the whale shark migration. One mistake some travelers make is to try to arrive on a Friday in order to take in the best drinking scene. Although, Friday is indeed Utila's biggest party night, it's not that different from the partying that happens during the rest of the week. If nightlife is what you're after, stay in La Ceiba for Friday and Saturday, the clubs there are bigger and better.
