Alton's is widely known for its friendly, fun dive environment. The dive center has it's own bar just off of the docks and is celebrated for having blockbuster parties. This party-atmosphere does not imply a lack of responsibility, since they're also a  highly organized and safe diving outfitter. The one major complaint about Alton's is in regard to their accommodations. The private rooms, in particular, are some of the dingiest on the island, though the dorms are relatively standard. Some rooms are far nicer than others, so if you're going to sign-up with Alton's make sure that first you establish exactly where you're going to be sleeping.
