Although smaller than the Pyramid of the Sun, this dedication to the Moon stands just as high thanks to its elevated position at the end of the causeway. The Plaza de la Luna in front of the pyramid is like a royal court before a Queen, providing space around its lines and accentuating its grace, making it seem much more elegant than its counterpart. The view from the top is the best to be had on site, especially at sunset, as you can look straight down the Calzada de los Muertos and across to the Pyramid of the Sun, patting yourself on the back on the seemingly endless path you walked to get here. Careful with the steps leading up though, as they’re the steepest in Teotihuacan.
