Opened in May 2006 this is the plushest place in town with the best view on the waterfront. The open balcony dining area offers an uninterrupted view of the fantastic scenery while the interior area is spacious and smart. Food is pricey but classy and there is a huge choice of wines up to vintages that set you back more than $65.

Overall the BEST in Loreto!

We had a fabulous dinner - the fish was grilled to perfection and the Caesar salad was the best we've ever had.  The fresh bread was a nice change from chips and salsa and the garlic oil was delicious.  Hard to believe a place like this exists in a small town like Loreto.  Our RV group ate here and we all LOVED it! We will definately go back!

Mexican fine dining

Dining in Mexico is not just about blistering hot salsa and thatched roofs. At this wonderful restaurant we were treated to amazing traditional and continental dishes. The "Loretano" was a delicious combination of freshly grilled sea bass, spinach, pasta and a delicate jalapeno cream sauce. One of our favorites was the fresh yellowtail sashimi with soy, basil and roasted pepper sauce. The daily fresh breads where creative and plentiful. Our waitstaff Julio and Gina were top notch. We can't wait to visit again.

Gourmet and Great

Imagine relaxing around a balcony table with friends; full moon painting a gold path across the Sea of Cortez, balmy breezes, and sounds of waves. Could you ask for more? Add gourmet food, wine and personalized service and it's a memorable Mediterraneo meal. Our food choices there are subjective, depending on mood and time of year. We may order pizza, a seafood special, or traditional Thanksgiving meal better than Grandma's best. A leisurely meal at the Mediterraneo is always reward for a hard day's fishing, sightseeing, (or even work).

go to MITA instead

Waiter Julio was fabulous. Food was OK but not worth the price. If you want gourmet food, better prices (over 1/3 less the cost), much larger portions and cooked exactly to your taste - try Mita restaurant in the Loreto Plaza near the fountain.... Waitstaff is very friendly, speaks great english AND the owner Juan Carlos takes your order and prepares it to your specifications..... FABULOUS!!

LOVED it!

The wait staff was unbelievable - like you'd expect in a 5 star restaurant in the States - the food - AMAZING - the bread - fresh baked there - it was all a fabulous experience - we will definitely go back!
