While Cholula has private tour companies that can be found around the town, the Secretaria de Turismo has also appointed people who hang out opposite the entrance to the Pyramid (Morelos 607). These official guides can also show you around and give information on the whole archeological complex ($15) or combine it with a town tour ($25). As the price is the same for individuals or groups of up to seven, the tours aren´t terribly cost effective for lone travelers but are worth doing if there´s a few people in your group. The guides also speak English, although not always extremely well.
