History buffs who can read Spanish will enjoy a walk along the region’s timeline. Complete with stone tools, skeletons, pre-Hispanic art and colonial religious requisites, the Museo Regional’s highlights include a scaled model of the huge templo conventual franciscano de San Juan Acatzingo and a reconstruction of its baptismal font, with Indigenous engravings too. At the end of the exhibition are some very colorful traditional masks and costumes.
