Zócalo - City Plaza Puebla - Mexico

Plaza Principal, as it is also called, is a place to observe Puebla’s rhythm. Businessmen reading the paper while the shoe-polishers do their job. Uniformed school children sitting at the fountain chatting and laughing. Couples noticing nothing but themselves on benches under the big trees. Tourists having a meal or just a drink outside the many small eateries on the west and east sides. On the north, the Palacio Municipal, shops and the city tourist office. On the south, the monumental Cathedral. In the center there is often a mobile stage. Voices, music, cars driving around it all — liveliness and noise guaranteed! The northeastern corner is a free WiFi zone, and the tourist office offers free internet as well.
