Amusement parks for children and day tours to the volcanoes and archeological sites of Puebla’s neighboring villages are typical excursions offered by local tour operators. The choice of operators is not wide, especially not for those who prefer to be guided in English, but the variety of tours is surprisingly good. Visitors’ best shot is to talk to the local tourist information at the Zócalo, the regional secretariat behind the Cathedral, or ask in hotels. Prices don’t vary greatly between companies, but English guides come only for an extra fee, if at all.
