Mexico City's prize cathedral is impressive from the outside and nice from the inside but a trip up the bell tower is one for aficionados only. The tour, which lasts around 20 minutes, is interesting if you speak Spanish and want to know about bells, but if you are going for the views then save the cash and go buy a drink at one of the rooftop restaurants around the square instead.
