If there is a match on at the Azteca (Aztec Stadium) it is worth heading south of the city to check it out. This 100,000-seater stadium is one of the world’s most famous and when it is full the atmosphere is unforgettable. Home to the local team "America" as well as the National side there are usually plenty of games to look out for and tickets can normally be bought on the day of the match but it is best to book ahead.
