Mexico D.F., Mexico

Museum, Historical Building, Culture

By Will Gray

This must be one of the most attractive buildings in the whole of Mexico with its white marble façade and orange and yellow tiled roof and it is home to a large collection of art as well as concert halls for both local and visiting performers. Viewing the outside and the ground floor inside is free, but if you are interested in art, and particularly murals, it is worth splashing out the cash to get up to the second floor where Diego Rivera's famous “El Hombre, Controlador del Universo” is on display as well as Jose Clemente Orozco’s stark but eye-catching “Catharsis.”
