Hotel

By Erin Helland

It may not be the fanciest place in town, but Hotel Catedral is a great option for someone on a budget who wants a nice place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, though some complain about the worn 1970s style décor. The hotel is very conveniently located to the Zocalo, one of the main hang out places in Mexico City. Be warned that in recent months a Discoteca has opened nearby, that might makes some rooms feel more like a place to dance than sleep. Also if you pay in cash there is usually a discount, expect to pay around $40-$45 USD per night for a basic room.
