This hotel looked like a bargain. It has a great location and the price I booked it for on the Internet was good. My stay turned out badly. I had a different price written on my check-in card when I left. When I protested, the clerk got aggressive, and locked me in the lobby. It was early morning and I was alone, except for the bell hop until my wife arrived. He threatened me and got a second person to come to the desk with him. I paid the extra money and we left. I have been to Mexico City dozens of times, but this was the first time at this hotel. Short the risks of fighting with these two men and putting my wife at risk too, there was not much that I could do. Now, at least, I can warn others. Has anyone else been shaken down at this hotel?
