Botanical Gardens - City Walk Mexico City - Mexico

The Botanical Gardens in University City can be a bit of a mission to get to but the effort is well repaid once the sounds and smog of the capital fade away and all that's left is flowers and forest…and the occasional pack of school kids.

The well-tended grounds are a godsend for parents, who can release their offspring to run off some of that excess energy. Couples, older travelers and anyone who's generally sick of the hectic pace of the city can spend a relaxing few hours strolling and admiring exotic South American plants in the well-kept greenhouses.
