Museo de Cera (Wax Museum) - Museum Mexico City - Mexico

Pretty much what you'd expect of a kitschy wax museum, the Museo de Cera has everyone you might want to see in wax, including Michael Jackson, Mother Teresa and the Wolf Man. The 200 or so political, cultural and sports specimens include historic figures like Emiliano Zapata and Frida Kahlo as well as recent biggies like President Felipe Calderón, Olympic gymnast Ana Gabriela Guevara, footballer Francisco Palencia, actress-singer Lucero and Latin music superstar Thalía. The collection "lives" in a fantasy concoction of a house, next to the "castle" that houses the Mexican "Ripley's Believe It Or Not!" museum next door. There's a café between the two museums, with at least 20 tables, in case all that wax creepiness makes you thirsty.
