Open since 1986, the Museo Nacional de la Revolución sits in the basement of the Monumento a la Revolución. The seven chronological sections of the museum cover the years 1857 – 1920 and are amply stocked with photos, sculptures, armaments, paintings, memorabilia, clothing and numerous other artifacts pertaining to the Mexican Revolution, which began in 1910. Those who don't read Spanish will be at a disadvantage, since all the carefully labeled items and big explanatory texts are only in Spanish.
There are neat visuals, such as charts that show what the average textile worker made a day at the end of the reign of President Porfirio DÃaz (0.25 pesos) and how much a kilo of corn cost (0.07 pesos). If you don't stop to read anything, you can breeze through here in 15 minutes.
