If you are not keen on staying in a hotel that looks as though it could be in Boise, Idaho as easily as in Mexico, Casa González is just the place for you. The place, which is really two houses that were converted, has been housing guests since the 1930s. The rooms are simple, but quaint. The real highlight is the courtyard between the two buildings. There are lovely gardens, which make for a wonderful place to spend a relaxing afternoon with a book. You can get good quality, large portioned meals as well - breakfast is about $7 dollars and dinner is $12. The owners of the hotel are friendly and helpful; they strive to make you feel at home as much as possible. A normal room costs $40 dollars a night and there are a total of 22 rooms in the hotel.
