El Rincon Oaxaqueño

Within walking distance from the main plaza in Coyoacan, this small, unassuming restaurant will surprise you. They serve some of the best traditional Mexican food, Oaxaca style. At lunchtime, for less than four bucks you get: consome (a hearty chicken-and-vegetables broth) or soup, rice, as many tortillas (huge, hand-made corn tortillas) as you want, a main dish (I'd go for the mole), water and dessert.

Location:
Rafael Oliva No. 11, right on the corner with Heroes del 47.

Colonia Churubusco, very close to the Exconvento de Churubusco
