Cerro de la Bufa

Location:
Zacatecas, Mexico

City Tour, Trekking

By Will Gray

This site offers an impressive wide view over the pretty town of Zacatecas and its desert surroundings and is a great spot to watch the sun go down. There is also a museum about the 1914 revolutionary battle here (entry 15 Pesos), several statues of revolutionary victors, a mausoleum and an observatory. Get up here by teleferico (last departure 6pm), taxi or walking but taxis are rare to find after sunset so head down on foot before it gets dark.

Getting There

Take Teleferico from Bosque y Rojas for 24 Pesos p/p or a taxi for 40 Pesos from the centre.
