Oaxaqueño Chocolate - Other Activity Oaxaca - Mexico

Treat your senses by experiencing the oaxaqueño equivalent of Willy Wonka’s factory in the chocolate shops at the corner of Mina and 20 de Noviembre. Follow the delightful aroma to the chocolate-making process, as cocoa beans and sugar are freshly ground in front of your eyes. The most popular is Chocolate Mayordomo, with three adjacent shops in this same location, where you can buy solid chocolate ($2 per 500 gr.), have a cup of clásico (with milk) or criollo (with water) for $1, or just grab lots of free delicious samples!
