Misol-Ha, Agua Clara and Agua Azul

If you have time to do something other than go to the ruins around Palenque, then make sure this is it. After a short drive you will arrive at the first spot, the pretty jungle waterfall of Misol-Ha, which was used in the movie Predator. Next stop is the incredibly blue river and bordering limestone rocks of Agua Clara, followed by a long stop at the impressive Agua Azul, where water tumbles down a series of almost endless smooth limestone steps.

Do not expect a natural experience, however, as the beautiful scenery is somewhat spoiled by a concrete walkway at Misol-Ha and an array of souvenir stalls at Agua Azul.
