Several cabanas and apartments dotted around a twisting path through the jungle make up this pleasant place to stay. Rooms are impressively clean and come with fan, a small table and chairs and a spotless bathroom. It is within walking distance to the ruins and there are three restaurants in the small jungle village nearby. There is free drinking water and the only thing this place lacks is a nice place to hang out outside the rooms.

Our choice fell on this place after reading Lonely Planet's comments about it being clean and welcoming. Our experience was the opposite! A woman who worked there told us there was no room for us because we were travelling with children. She told us they didn't want any wet beds. We tried to convince her about our children beeing too old for that and that we even brought a mattress cover in case of "accidents". So don't go their on a family holidays. We eventually found an excellent and hospitable cabana nearby.
Living in the jungle
Very charming cabins in a beautifully restored jungle area with wonderful walkways, creeks, birds, vegetation, and much more. Inexpensive but the very best in the Palenque area.

Wonderful setting in El Panchan. Very attentive. Howler monkeys howling nearby in the night. Best value and experience in the Palenque area.
Precioso lugar!!
Un lugar lindisimo, que se disfruta la naturaleza y de cabañas super limpias y bonitas,... La misma propietaria (Margarita) se encarga de recibirte; y ademas de tener cerca un bar restaurant con musica y espectaculos nocturnos,.... Sin duda regresare!!!! :)
