Cultural Tour
This is a pleasant little town to spend a couple of hours in but probably not much more. There is a nice convent by the Templo de Santa Domingo de Guzman which is the Centro Cultural and houses museums on local arts including block printing and lacquered gourds in the Museo de la Laca. The main square is surrounded by arcades and houses a statue of General Corzo and an elaborate fountain.
While you’re in town, check out La Michoacana Helados y Paletas on the Main Square. The menu includes all the usual favourites and if he mixes too much he still gives you the lot! They also offer fantastic fresh ice cream and mix up bizarre milkshake drinks that include the likes of egg and granola if you fancy something a little different.
