Chiflón Waterfall
Location:
San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico
Adventure Tour
This spectacular waterfall is a couple of hours from town but it is worth heading out to. A 30-minute easy walk along a riverside path heads up to a viewpoint over the falls, where the river tumbles more than 100m over a forested cliff. There is a zip-line that you can take to another viewpoint (100 Pesos extra) or you can head back down and enjoy a cooling dip in the calmer part of the river. There are a few eateries by the carpark if you are feeling hungry.
