Most peoples' reason for heading to the old silver mining town of Taxco is to buy silver, which is abundant in shops all around town. Most of the best stores are found in the winding cobbled streets surrounding the main Plaza Borda, the Zócalo. Check them all out before making a purchase as quality and prices vary, but with a bit of searching you can pick up a bargain.
