Museo Arqueologico de la Costa Grande - Museum Zihuatanejo - Mexico

Located at one end of Zhiuatanejo’s Playa Principal next to the canal, this museum is dedicated to the history and artifacts of the ancient people of the Pacific coast of Mexico. Everything is displayed in Spanish, but the English version of the brochure has translations. Artifacts range from tools and pottery to jewelry and figurines. It takes about a half hour to forty-five minute to see the whole thing, and is a great activity before heading to lunch at Playa Principal. The entrance fee is about $1, and they are closed Mondays.
