Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa don’t have a lot of tour operators, but the few that exist have a lot to offer. However, expect to be approached by guys on the beach who want to take you fishing or on a boat tour for a very low price. These aren’t true tour operators; they’re just guys with a boat who wants to make a few pesos. The organized tours where you pay more and make reservations, truly allow people to do some sight seeing and learn something about the area.
