Restaurant Chong Wah - Restaurant Guadalajara - Mexico

Chong Wah, though inelegant with its small-floral wallpaper, brown paneling and metal/vinyl chairs, has what could be the tastiest inexpensive Chinese buffet (55 pesos) in downtown Guadalajara. Created by chefs from China who do plenty of yelling in the kitchen, the Cantonese cuisine on the small buffet crammed into the corner keeps the dining room full. Besides stir-fried shrimp, chicken, beef and pork, the buffet also has non-Chinese offerings such as onion rings and four kinds of gelatin. The TV on the wall is often tuned to Mexican soap operas.

Location:

Av. Juárez 558, Col. Centro, Guadalajara (At the corner of Avenida Juárez and Enrique Gonzáles Martínez. Also: There is a nearby branch of the restaurant at López Cotilla 370, tel: 3613-0033.)
