V!VA User‘s Description
Ixtapa's Las Brisas Hotel sits a top a hill overlooking the crystal blue waves of the Pacific Ocean. A large, stone, circle drive prefaces the entrance to the hotel which has no doors. In fact, save for the guest's bedrooms and suites, the main level of the hotel has no closed off walls, exposing guests to the warm air and sunshine surrounding them.
The hotel grounds are filled with greenery and a simple walk to the beach seems like a stroll through the Botanic Gardens. There are two pools, one near the children's area, welcome to loud splashes and playfulness, and one more secluded, with plentiful lounge chairs for those adults who simply wish to relax. Although most of the other hotels in Ixtapa share one long beach, connecting the grounds of each to one another, Las Brisas is equipped with a private beach, further down from the rest of the hotels. This gives privacy and serenity to those guests who do not wish to be disrupted by the guests at other hotels, but leaves the option for just a few minutes of walking to reach the louder, more populated beach scene.
Of all the luxurious amenities found at Las Brisas, the most peaceful experience is the one I found on the balcony of my room. Each room includes a small, tiled deck right off the bedroom, on which guests may relax, enjoy the sunset, and if luck strikes them, catch a glimpse of a wale leave the blue of the ocean for just a few seconds before it smoothly submerges back below the surface.
