Snorkel Cozumel - close reefs

Making a trip out to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen is worthwhile to head out to some good snorkeling sites, although it can cost a bit when you add on the ferry ride so make the most of it and stay for dinner! There are plenty of places to arrange a trip from, but it is better to get there early there is just one or two of you to give you time to find a group. This trip heads to three snorkel sites but they are close to the main cruise ship docks and can get crowded. They are also slightly shallower sites and were damaged by the hurricanes in 2005. The more southern sites are better, but more pricey.
