As just about anywhere in Nicaragua, EL Rama is full of festivities and traditional celebrations during Semana Santa (Easter week). Also, on May 11^th, there is a Ferias festival where people come from various parts of Nicaragua to sell and buy clothing, horses, motorcycles and an assortment of other things. As far as weather is concerned, the summer (from December to March) is when El Rama is the most pleasant, although the area is generally breezy enough to be comfortable in light summer clothing year-round.
