Big Corn Island is composed of four square miles of tropical forest and mangrove swamps, framed by a path of white sandy beaches. The main road lines the ocean and beaches, encircling the mostly unattainable forested interior. However, anyone who wants a 360º panoramic view of the island, can horseback ride or hike through the trail to the top of the 320 feet tall Mt.
