Getting Around Big Corn Island

Big Corn Island has one 12 km long road that circles the island. It takes three hours to walk the entire thing, or about half an hour in a golf cart. Golf cart rentals are available at the Sunrise Hotel on the South End, for about ten dollars an hour. Just show up, or to arrange in advance, call: 011-505-828-7835 or e-mail southendsunrise(at)remove-this.yahoo.com. Taxis have a flat rate of one dollar during the day and two dollars at night. There is a bus for 25 cents that circles the island, but don’t rely on it.
