Aguas Claras Hot Springs

If you start to miss hot water while in the Boaco area, you might want to check out the Aguas Claras hot springs, located 7 kilometers west of town. Budget travelers will want to get there early to avoid having to shell out for the (relatively) expensive hotel on premises (29 USD a night). The daily fee for entrance to the pools is 1.25 USD for adults and .70 USD for kids. These pools with filled with naturally heated bath-tub temperature water, though they are not exceptionally clean.

To get to Aguas Claras direct from Managua, take any east-bound bus from the Mayoreo terminal, but tell the driver to let you off at the springs. From Boaco, take a 4 USD cab ride.
