Kayak Las Isletas - Kayaking Granada - Nicaragua

This is a truly fantastic experience. Las Isletas is an archipelago of 365 (so they say!) tree-covered islands, some inhabited and some natural, all in close proximity on the shores of Lake Nicaragua. A good kayak tour takes you to El Castillo, an old fort with good views of the islands, then through the narrow channels to a forested area, where in late afternoon you can spot some nice wildlife before heading back for a sunset drink on the shore of the lake. You can also do it by motorboat and cover a greater area of islands, but it is not quite the kayak experience.
