Barrio Boloñia is Martha Quezada’s quietly upscale (and slightly safer) residential neighbor. Boloñia, within walking distance to Plaza Inter and the Zona Monumental, is the happy medium between the pricy downtown hotels and the cheap backpacker hostels. More than other neighborhoods, Barrio Boloñia has managed to resist the influx of tourist fever. The neighborhood, sprinkled with television stations and residences, is a good place to escape from the busy city, but, with relatively few dining options you might find yourself heading in the evening to the restaurant packed Centro Commercial.
