Marea Alta Seafood Bar and Grill - Restaurant Managua - Nicaragua

(Mains: C$69-499, $3.45-24.75) Marea Alta Seafood Bar and Grill is one of the best places in the city to grab a plate of seafood; don’t let the almost cartoon-like nautical theme (with waiters in sailor garb) put you off. The extremely varied menu ranges from oyster cocktails and octopus ceviche to seafood spaghetti in wine sauce and surf n’ turf. The restaurant even offers escargot. Sick of the sea? Try one of Marea Alta’s tasty USDA Choice rib-eyes. The family-friendly restaurant has been a Managua favorite for decades and currently has three locations. (Marea Alta also delivers.) The Los Robles location is open Monday to Wednesday, noon to 10:30 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday, noon to midnight; Sunday, noon to 10 p.m. The locations are as follows: Marea Alta Los Robles Tel: 278-2459/ 270-7959 marealta@ibw.com.ni Hotel Seminole, 1 c. al sur, Zona Hippo’s, Los Robles Marea Alta Santo Domingo (Zona Viva) Tel: 276-5290 maltagsd@ibw.com.ni Marea Alta Metrocentro Food Court, Modulo FC-16 Tel: 271-9158
