English bookstores in Managua are few and far between, with most locations exclusively for Spanish speakers. Libreria Jeremias 33.3 (505-2-255-2305, open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) sells a jumble of new and used books near the Roberto Huembes bus stop. Comb through the selection and you might luck out with a dog eared paperback in English; the libreria is also one of the few places with a selection of English-Spanish dictionaries.



Located along el Camino a Las Nubes, Frontera Books (505-2-270-2345, fax: 270-2346, fronterabooks@ibw.com.ni) is one of the few Managua bookstores with offerings in both English and Spanish. The selection makes the trek up from Zona Hippas worthwhile, plus you can shop in Mama Delfina or grab a bite at Pane E Vino on your way.
