When you enter Iglesia de San Marcos Agradece, look up. Above the baby blue walls are colorful murals of religious symbols. San Marcos stands on an arch before the altar, amid waterfalls, volcanoes and fields of flowers. Several years ago, the church expanded, adding two warehouse-like wings with concrete arches which add little to the overall ambiance, but do create more space for parishioners. One front arch has been painted with the likeness of San Marcos, standing among flowers, waterfalls and volcanoes.
