Nicaragua has an increasing number of hostels that offer good options for people on limited budgets, those who need not only a cheap bed for the night but also want to meet other like-minded and independent travelers. All of the backpacker hot spots now contain several hostels of varying quality that can offer accommodation for as little as $3 a night in a dormitory. If you stray away from these areas, finding a hostel becomes a more difficult. However, coverage in the country’s more remote, less visited destinations is also growing and Nicaragua can now offer hostel accommodation in most locations that tourists visit.
